We told you earlier in the week that last year’s GOP nominee for the Fourth Congressional District, Beth Anne Rankin, would announce on Monday another bid.

Rankin distributed a schedule today of her planned tour on Monday. From her scheduler:

She will begin her announcement tour in Hot Springs at 9 a.m. at the Ray Lynn Theater, 202 Malvern Avenue.

Rankin will announce in Texarkana at 12:30 p.m. at the Miller County Court House, 400 Laurel St., in Texarkana, AR.

Rankin will announce in her home town of Magnolia at 3:30 p.m. at the Columbia County Court House, 1 Court Square.

She will announce her plans in El Dorado at 5:30 p.m. at the Union County Court House, 101 N. Washington.

Rankin also offered this quote in the media advisory:

“After spending several months visiting with the citizens of the Fourth Congressional District and listening to their deep concerns regarding the national debt, the unprecedented growth of government and the lack of jobs, I have reached a decision regarding the United States Congress and will be looking forward to announcing that decision on Monday," Rankin said.

While Rankin remains a bit mysterious in her intentions for Monday, she has told supporters that she is entering the race to replace retiring Cong. Mike Ross (D)Rankin, who lives in Magnolia (Columbia County), will face a likely challenge from two other Republican opponents.  Dardanelle (Yell County) native Tom Cotton has announced for the seat, as has Scott County businessman Marcus Richmond.  No Democrats have announced plans to run for the Congressional seat.
