Some of us at Whispers couldn’t help but notice the lease signs outside Fayetteville Athletic Club, and they left us scratching our heads.

Last we’d heard, back in April, was that SM-WLJ Asset Owner of Coral Gables, Fla., had struck a deal for complete ownership of the club, thus removing longtime owners/managers Bob and Katherine Shoulders from the picture.

Wondering what, exactly, currently is for lease, we called the man with his name on the signs. That would be none other than Steve Fineberg, aka “The Commercial Guy.”

“There are a lot of positive changes going on there,” Fineberg said of FAC.

Among those changes is the availability of 2,635 SF of office space, at $16 per SF.

“We can reconfigure that to make it conform to whatever a client wants if the lease is long enough,” Fineberg said.

Also available is 204 SF of “juice bar” space, at $16 per SF, and 1,408 SF of restaurant space at a price of $14 per SF. The restaurant overlooks FAC’s tennis courts and swimming pool.

Fineberg said lease terms include utilities, taxes, etc. – everything but janitorial services.
