Darden Group Honors Local Lobster Manager

Jay Burch, general manager of Fayetteville’s Red Lobster restaurant, recently was named as one of 37 winners of the Joe R. Lee Diamond Club Award.
Almost 700 general managers were considered for the award, which is presented by parent company Darden Restaurants Inc. Darden operates more than 1,800 restaurants that generate more than $7 billion in annual sales, and employ about 180,000.
“Jay is a great example of a Red Lobster leader who values every employee’s contributions, demonstrates genuine caring and respect for our guests and practices integrity in all aspects of our business,” Red Lobster president Dave Pickens said in a news release.
