Clean & Green: A Visionary Spreads Small Farm Success
Life-long farmer Jody Hardin calls himself a country boy from Grady, but the truth is he’s far beyond that.
As current president of the non-profit certified Arkansas farmers’ market network and the state’s farmers’ market association, Hardin stays busy advocating for locally grown food and fair trade markets.
His business savvy and vision for developing local markets got him featured in the Wall Street Journal.
Two of his most successful ventures are across the street from one another in downtown North Little Rock. Hardin is co-founder of the Argenta Market, a bustling grocery store and restaurant that features local produce and meat.
Across the street is a certified farmer’s market, another venue Hardin helped create from a database of local farms. If you don’t grow it in Arkansas, you don’t get in.
Learn more about Hardin’s experiences and his vision for the future – including a new teaching farm he’s planning in Scott, Arkansas – in this video below.
