Ackerman new district director for Rep. Womack
U.S. Rep. Steve Womack, R-Rogers, has announced that Bootsie Ackerman will serve as the new 3rd Congressional district director stationed out of the Rogers office.
Ackerman, a member of the Washington County Republican Women and a former candidate for the State Legislature, was the executive director of the Downtown/Dickson Enhancement Project, where she oversaw the revitalization of Fayetteville’s Dickson Street and downtown square area.
She is also a past recipient of former Mayor Fred Hanna’s (Fayetteville) Volunteer Service Award. Most recently, Ackerman played the role of a small business owner with Tax Concepts Inc. out of Fayetteville.
“Bootsie is a well-known, well-respected business professional in Northwest Arkansas and brings to our team the kind of leadership and professional skills critical to the operation of a district headquarters. She will no doubt bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the people of Arkansas’ Third District,” Womack said in a statement.
