Adventure Subaru in Fayetteville expects to break ground in early August for its new location on North Shiloh Drive, along Interstate 540 near the Porter Road exit.

The Nelms family, which owns the dealership and property, hopes to move into the new facility by the end of the year or first quarter of 2012, said David Nelms, who’s in charge of new facilities for the dealership.

The new location, with about 20,000 SF on 4.5 acres, will be quite a bit larger than the current one at 2781 N. College Ave., which is about 13,000 SF on 2.8 acres, Nelms said. With the move, they want to double the size of their used-car operation, and will likely add a few positions to their staff of about 18.

Moving to the I-540 corridor will help the dealership better serve the region, Nelms said.

Engineering for the new dealership is by H2 Engineering Inc. of Fayetteville. The general contractor is Commerce Construction of Springdale. The architects are Miller Boskus Lack of Fayetteville, and Melissa Evans of EB Landworks Inc. in Fayetteville is the landscape architect.
