Roberts and Harris Earn Walmart Promotions

Walmart U.S. Realty announced recently that Karen Roberts has been promoted to executive vice president and president.
The move coincides with the news Eric Zorn is retiring from the same position after almost 20 years with the company. More than 3,000 stores and clubs were opened during Zorn’s tenure, according to a company release.
Roberts will report to Tom Mars, executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Walmart U.S. She joined the company in 1995.
Additionally, Phyllis Harris was promoted to senior vice president and chief compliance officer.
She joined the company in 2006, and previously served as the deputy assistant administrator for the United States Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C.
