Big Brothers Big Sisters of America recently named its Northwest Arkansas agency a 2011 Quality Award honoree.
Only 13 of 370 agencies nationwide received the distinction. They were announced at a national conference in Dallas last month.
The award recognizes agencies within the mentoring network that exceed the national average performance for length of each mentoring match relationship and match retention rates.
“We are all extremely devoted to creating long-lasting mentoring matches and positive outcomes for children in our program,” local executive director Erin Rongers said.
