Governor Updates House Map Ahead Of Apportionment Vote
Gov. Mike Beebe submitted minor changes to an Arkansas House of Representatives map just days before a final vote is expected on the new legislative boundaries.
Under changes made in the latest map, Beebe made fewer alterations than he did to a State Senate map released yesterday.
In the new House map, districts have been re-numbered, but there were no changes to incumbent versus incumbent situations or majority-minority districts, a sore spot with the Legislative Black Caucus.
You can view the map here. The Board of Apportionment will meet Friday to finalize and vote on Senate and House maps.
