A report released recently by New Jersey-based Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC finds the average list price of a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Arkansas is $184,241. That compares to the national average of $293,251.

The Coldwell Banker Home Listing Report is a snapshot survey of listing prices for four-bedroom, two-bathroom homes in more than 2,300 markets across North America. Homes included were listed between September 2010 and March 2011, and markets were required to have at least 10 properties fitting the above criteria within the timeframe.

Of the 25 Arkansas markets reviewed for the survey, Wynne is the most affordable with an average home listing of $117,940. Maumelle is the state’s most expensive market with an average list price of $255,868.

In years past, the HLR included only about 350 markets in the country. Fayetteville, Little Rock and Fort Smith were the only Arkansas markets included.

Pulling the data electronically allowed the report to expand this year.
