Rosati?s Pizza Draws Transplants with Taste of Chicago

Steve Sharma doesn’t mince words when asked about Rosati’s Authentic Chicago Pizza.

“It just tastes better,” he said.

Sharma owns the Shell convenience store in Farmington, and when the previous pizza-maker operating there moved out last fall, he thought about an old favorite. Sharma, who moved to the area from Chicago four years ago, decided to open a branch of Chicago-based Rosati’s.

Now customers are coming “from all over,” Sharma said. More specifically, Sharma said he gets regular customers from Rogers and Bentonville — fellow move-ins familiar with Rosati’s — in addition to those who live in closer proximity.

Part of the attraction, Sharma said, is the fresh dough and ingredients, including some that come directly from Chicago.

The pizzas come in five varieties, ranging from thin crust to deep-dish, and prices start at $10.99. Rosati’s also offers salads, specialty sandwiches and pasta dishes.

Sharma said the Cheesy Beef and Italian Beef are the most popular sandwiches. The meat is marinated overnight, he said, and sliced daily.

Rosati’s employs a crew of eight and handles dine-in, carry-out and limited delivery orders. It is open seven days a week.
