Driven by thousands of $4 pizzas, Fayetteville-based Eureka Pizza saw record sales as a result of its weeklong celebration of its 19th anniversary.

Rolf Wilkin, who opened his first store in 1992 and is president of Eureka Systems Corp., said the Leverett Avenue store in Fayetteville did $29,000 in sales the week of March 1-6. That’s an all-time record for weekly sales totals at any of the chain’s nine locations.

As part of the company’s anniversary celebration, all locations offered a large cheese or pepperoni pizza for $3.99, or $2 off the regular cost. Other deals included a large specialty pizza for $7.99 or two large pepperoni or cheese pizzas delivered for $13.99.

Wilkin said about 7,000 pizzas were sold at the Leverett location.
