Health fair planned at new Van Buren Public Library
Summit Medical Center is teaming up with the new Van Buren Public Library to host a “Heart” health fair on Valentine’s Day. The health fair is open to the public and will be held 9 a.m. to Noon, Feb. 14, at the newly constructed library located at 409 Main St. in Van Buren.
Anyone in the community can take part in the health fair, and there will be blood pressure and blood sugar screenings available. Medical professionals will also be on hand to test body mass index and body fat percentage and educate the public about the warning signs of a heart attack.
Summit Medical Center is a fully accredited, 103-bed acute care hospital operating in Van Buren and owned by Naples, Fla.-based Health Management Associations.
