WestArk RSVP — a local volunteer organization of active adults 55 years of age and older — has opened a new office at the Center for Non-profits@ St. Mary’s, 1200 West Walnut St., in Rogers, Ark.

The office (Suite #2301) is located on the North side of the building directly across the hall from the Benton County Health Department. The office provides workspace for a receptionist, volunteer coordinator and program director. Office hours will be Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.

As of Aug. 1, 2010, WestArk RSVP added Benton, Carroll and Madison counties to its existing program which serves volunteers and community organizations in Sebastian and Crawford counties. The expansion increased funding and membership by more than 30%. WestArk RSVP was awarded the additional three counties in a competitive grant process.

“We are excited about our expansion into Northwest Arkansas,” Program Director Susan Reehl said in a statement. “Our new office at the Center for Non-profits locates us centrally and provides easy access to all three of the counties we will be serving. Our travel costs will be lower and the site is very accessible. Many of the organizations WestArk RSVP traditionally partners with are already located at the Center for Non-profits.”
