Cullens named a top dentist in Arkansas

Rocky Cullens, D.D.S., was selected as one of the best oral and maxillofacial surgeons in Arkansas in a list compiled by topDentists.

The rankings are based on thousands of detailed evaluations of dental professionals by their peers. Participants were asked, “If you had a patient in need of a dentist, which dentist would you refer them to?” Years of experience, continuing education, manner with patients and physical results are among the qualifications those taking the survey were told to consider.

Dr. Cullens has been practicing oral surgery since 2006. A year later he started his own practice, Oral Surgery Center Inc., at 600 Lexington Ave., in Fort Smith. But, dentistry was not always Cullens’ dream.

He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in mechanical engineering, and spent nearly 10 years in that field before volunteering with Community Dental Clinic in Fort Smith. It was there Cullens was introduced to the field of dentistry. He returned to school and received a degree in general dentistry and advanced training in oral and maxillofacial surgery from the University of Oklahoma.
