Sports Reporters Are Busy Switching Teams

It seems football teams aren’t the only ones juggling rosters this fall.

As we understand it, Brandon Marcello, the online sports editor for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and Northwest Arkansas Newspapers has accepted a job offer to cover Mississippi State for the Jackson Clarion-Ledger.

In other newspaper-related news, the Democrat-Gazette lost three Little Rock-based sportswriters – Nick Walker, Doug Crise and Jeffrey Slatton – to non-newspaper gigs earlier this summer. No word on whom, if anyone, will replace the aforementioned.
