Bost to Provide Parent/Caregiver Stress Information
On Friday, October 8, 2010, at 6:00 pm, Bost, Inc. will sponsor an informational program on how to handle parent/caregiver stress at the Bost Frick Community Center. Steve Nelson will help the attendees understand caregiving, stress and learning to take care of one’s self and Linda Smallman will discuss compassion fatigue and how to decompress stress. The training is open to the public, and questions will be welcome.
Mr. Steve Nelson, MSW, LCSW, is the Geriatric Treatment Team Supervisor for Sparks Senior Care. Mr. Nelson has 20 years experience in Social Work and Caregiving. Steve, a graduate of OSU, also works for Amedysis PRN.
Ms. Linda Smallman, MSW, LCSW, is the Outpatient Therapist for Dr. Donald Chambers in Van Buren, AR. Ms. Smallman holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She has worked with diverse populations over the past 6 years including the Inpatient Crisis Unit, 911 Program, Elder Care and PTSD with Veterans and Families.
