Volunteer winner, leaders named for Summit Medical Center
The Summit Medical Center hospital volunteers selected new leaders and a volunteer of the year.
Rita Bowen was selected as the top volunteer of the year. A committee of auxiliary members made the selection based on involvement in projects and commitment to volunteer duties. Bowen works at the front desk of the hospital and the gift shop and always has a smile on her face. She was given the award during a banquet this summer.
The new leaders for the auxiliary include President, Mamie Mann; First Vice President, Lena Graves; Second Vice President Rita Bowen; Recording Secretary, Mary Weinsinger; Corresponding Secretary, Betty Hoyle; and Treasurer, Daisy Bruns.
Summit Medical Center is a fully accredited, 103-bed acute care hospital providing emergency services, critical care, outpatient testing, inpatient surgical services, same day surgery, rehabilitation services, and respiratory therapy.
