Golf magazine has recognized Stonebridge Meadows Golf Club as Arkansas’ top public course. The ranking appears in the September issue.

“We usually get pretty good ratings … but it’s always good to have another pretty prestigious magazine rank us,” Stonebridge director of golf Taylor Willett said.

Golf ranked the top public courses in all 50 states as part of its September issue and included five from Arkansas. Following Stonebridge, which is located in Fayetteville, are: Mountain Ranch (Fairfield Bay), Big Creek (Mountain Home), Thunder Bayou (Blytheville) and Hot Springs Country Club’s Arlington Course.

Stonebridge is a par-72 course measuring 7,150 yards. Weekday green fees are $39, while weekend rates range from $49 to $54. Any player willing to tee off after 1 p.m. – any day of the week – can play for $30 as long as a special “twilight” rate is in effect.
