Pinnacle Group Gets Fresh New Identity

The Pinnacle Group’s got a new name: Hunt Ventures.

That’s according to an announcement Tim Graham made via press release on July 30.

Graham is president of the group, which will continue to be led by chairman of the board Johnelle Hunt.

The Pinnacle Group originally formed in 2002 and consisted of Graham, J.B. Hunt, Bill Schwyhart and Bob Thornton, but split in 2007 following Hunt’s death. Johnelle Hunt assumed her husband’s duties, and Schwyhart and Thornton left to form their own investment company.

Hunt Ventures will do the same work it did under its previous name – property development and management, as well as other management services for numerous other businesses.

The change, according to the release, largely is a result of a desire to differentiate the group from the dozens of other entities who include “Pinnacle” in their names.

According to the release, Hunt Ventures will use a logo J.B. Hunt designed but never used.
