Sustainability Institute Seeks Community Input

Northwest Arkansas Community College’s Stribling Sustainability Institute is currently conducting a survey aimed at developing outreach activities – in the form of credit and non-credit courses – for both students and employees of local businesses.
The SSI is part of NWACC’s Shewmaker Center for Global Business Development. Program coordinator Jenny Post said the survey is designed to confirm that such educational offerings are needed, identify who most wants it, and establish what types of classes will be most beneficial to specific industries.
“Our hope is that we’ll be starting to offer courses and other types of services to local businesses in October,” Post said, “and then start offering for-credit courses to NWACC students in January.”
