Public Meeting with the Fort Smith Housing Authority , (FSHA)and North Side Town Branch Group , (NSTBG), to discuss the FSHA usa

This is an invitation to a Public Meeting with the Fort Smith Housing Authority (FSHA) and  North Side Town Branch Group  (NSTBG) to discuss the FSHA usage as an Community Development Entity (CDE) for the City of Fort Smith.

           

 

 

 

 

NSTBG has invited Mr. Ken Pyle to discuss the following:

 -Community Development Entity (CDE) concept

 -New Market Tax Credits (NMTC)

 -The Redevelopment Process

·         Identification and selection of  "Blighted Areas", 

·         Voluntary Repair and Rehabilitation of building or other improvements

·         Acquiring Property:

·         Blighted Areas

                        Open Land

                        Real Property

·         Clearing, Installing, Construct, or Reconstruct acquired areas

·         Disposition, of acquired land for uses in accordance with the objectives of the urban renewal project

·         FSHA proposed Redevelopment Plan

·         FSHA proposed Urban Renewal Plan

 

-The insertion of adequate Controls and Monitoring to assure “FAIR and EQUITABLE,

  Execution and administration of the stated proposed Redevelopment Plan

·         Documentation of each process

·         Citizen Appeal Process

·         Creations of an Citizen Oversight Committee
