Fort Smith area awarded $1.24 million in housing grants
Grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under its Capital Fund program will go to 106 housing authorities in Arkansas to develop, modernize and better manage public housing units in Arkansas, according to a statement from the office of U.S. Sen. Blanche Lincoln, D-Ark.
More than $1.24 million of the grants will go to housing authorities in the Fort Smith region. Following is the list of authorities in the 3rd Congressional District awarded grants.
