Writing Your Recollections
Too often when we try to write our own stories, they come out lacking the humor or poignancy we remember. That’s because they’re so familiar to us that we lose the perspective required to write them well. Using a combination of discussion and workshops, we’ll explore how to use the principles of fiction writing—dramatic tension, character development, concrete language, and more—to bring our recollections to life on paper. Classes will be held on: Tuesdays 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. March 30 – May 4 Fee: $76 On campus Location: Math Science Building, Room 204
