PETA Passing on Billboard Idea?

Did anybody else hear about the proposed billboard in Tontitown, the one referencing the ever-expanding entity known as the Duggar family?

We sure did, and once we stopped chuckling, we made a few phone calls in the name of investigative journalism. The first one went to the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, who supposedly was behind the whole idea.

A spokeswoman at PETA confirmed that, yes, the organization had contacted a local businessman about the possibility of placing a billboard near the Duggar home. Said billboard would read: Doggies Multiply Faster Than Duggars. Be Responsible. Always Spay and Neuter.

Pretty clever, if perhaps offensive to some, we thought. When we pressed for more information, though, we were passed from one PETA representative to another without much result.

Now, more than a month later, we can’t even get a return phone call. Thus, we can only assume the whole idea has been put to, ahem, sleep.
