Good, Black to receive awards at King/Kennedy Dinner

André Good, a Fort Smith city director, and Napoleon Black, editor of the Lincoln Echo newspaper, will be recognized for their community efforts Feb. 11 at the sixth annual King/Kennedy Dinner sponsored by the Arkansas Democratic Black Caucus.

Dinner hosts are Evangeline Parker and “Broadway" Joe Booker of the morning show on Power 92 FM in Little Rock. Gov. Mike Beebe and Arkansas Democratic Party Chair Todd Turner are expected to attend the event.

Good will receive the Jerry Jewel Government Service Award—Local Level. Black is set to receive the Calvin King Award for Economic Development.
