Garrison Institute Hosts Retirement Workshops
There are two sessions left in a workshop series called “How Can I Afford Retirement?” hosted by the Garrison Financial Institute, part of the Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas.
“Investing Wisely to Avoid the Financial Risk of Longer Life Expectancy,” or session 3, will be held at 6:30 p.m. March 11, and at 10 a.m. and March 13, and “Protecting Your Investments – The Best Defense is a Wise and Safe Investor,” will be offered sometime in the fall.
The workshops are held at the Fayetteville Public Library and sessions, along with session No. 2, will be held in April, May and June at the Adolphine Fletcher Terry Library and John Gould Fletcher Library, in Little Rock. All workshops will be repeated.
“In keeping with our mission to contribute to the economic development of the state of Arkansas and the welfare of its citizens, the Garrison Financial Institute will offer these workshops free of charge,” said Wayne Y. Lee, executive director of the institute. “We are grateful to the U.S. Department of Labor for providing free copies of the publication, “Taking the Mystery out of Retirement,” and other materials for the workshops.”
