With a bachelor’s degree in international economics and a year’s worth of experience as an investment analyst at Mary Ann Greenwood & Associates, Paul Morris headed to law school in 1998.
When the Jonesboro native finished in 2001, he quickly passed the bar and started a clerkship with federal judge Stephen M. Reasoner in Little Rock. In 2003 he went into practice at the Wright Lindsey firm.
Less than a year later Morris joined the satellite office in Rogers, and in 2006 he became the office’s manager.
Morris’ primary practice is product and professional liability defense and he has represented the likes of Ford Motor Co. as well as many other high-profile national clients.
The Rogers satellite office wasn’t as busy as he’d have liked when Morris first returned to Northwest Arkansas, but now the three lawyers can barely keep up, he said.
Ever expanding his horizons, Morris was recently licensed to also practice law in Missouri to help better serve WLJ’s regional clientele.
He’s a graduate of Leadership Benton Co. and is involved in the UA’s Walton College Business Alumni Advisory Council.
His advice to new lawyers and recently graduated students: “Work hard and always do the right thing. Your reputation is not something you can get back.”
