Jeremy Wilson has a bachelor’s degree in finance but has spent more time running business operations and developing ideas.
The University of Arkansas graduate was hired as automatic teller machine coordinator for Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in 1994. Then he served as cash management coordinator and later managed the domestic cash team with daily cash flows of $2 billion. In early 2000, he managed investor relations before doing the same with Brinker International, a casual dining restaurant company in Dallas.
Before long, Wilson returned to Wal-Mart, managing a financial services team that grew sales and product lines exponentially.
In 2009, he joined Rockfish Interactive, a technology and marketing firm in Rogers that has mushroomed 600 percent in both revenue and team members in the last three years. When he’s not forecasting company growth or making strategic plans, he also acts as senior mentor.
Former Wal-Mart CEO Lee Scott, an influential mentor, said of Wilson: “His success begins with his believability and integrity.”
Even in his spare time, Wilson can’t sit still. He serves on the Northwest Arkansas Economic Development committee and recently finished writing a novel which he hopes to have published soon. He also enjoys traveling and photography.
