Construction Hall Accepting Nominations
The Arkansas Construction Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for its 2010 class until January 15.
The hall, established in 1999, honors outstanding individuals in the construction industry. Consideration is given not just to nominees’ work in – and support of – the industry, but their civic and community involvement.
To be eligible, a person must have worked in Arkansas’ construction industry as an architect, engineer, building contractor, highway contractor, utility contractor, specialty contractor or supplier for a minimum of 25. Inductees from Northwest Arkansas include Fay Jones (architect), Carl Yates (engineer) and Vic Forsgren (highway contractor).
Induction ceremonies are held every two years, and as many as five people will be inducted this time. To nominate someone for this year’s class, contact Rob Hileman at 501-375-4436 or visit www.agcar.net.
