Kum & Go Coming to College Ave.?

Remember the Butcher Block Steak House at the corner of Township Street and College Avenue in Fayetteville? Or maybe you remember the Sugar Mountain Restaurant at the same location? No? Well, don’t worry, neither restaurant lasted very long and the building has most recently been used as a discount furniture outlet slash flea market. With such prime frontage along Fayetteville’s commercial corridor, residents have often wondered why the property, currently owned by The Bank of Fayetteville, has been a revolving door for unsuccessful businesses.

They will be happy to know the location may be the future site of a Kum & Go gas station and convenience store. The project still has to be approved by the city, but we’re hopeful that the corner will finally become something useful.
