A recent CNN Money poll ranks Fayetteville as the “13th Best Midsized Place to Launch a Small Business.”
The list notes that Fayetteville has a population of 450,000 and is the home to 5,856 small businesses, or businesses with less than 50 employees.
CNN partnered with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation to find the 50 most business-friendly communities in America. With the help of economist Robert Fairlie, CNN developed a formula and sifted through data factors such as workforce quality, crime rates, hourly wages, per capita income, taxes and foreclosures.
