Nabholz Construction recently broke ground on an $8.5 million performing arts center at John Brown University in Siloam Springs.

The 28,000 SF Bill and Donna Berry Performing Arts Center, located west of the Mabee/Chapman parking lot, will serve as a venue for JBU theater productions, recitals, performances, lectures, chapel programs and other events.

SPARKS Education, a division of Crafton, Tull, Sparks & Associates, designed the facility.

The 500-seat auditorium is being financed through a fundraising campaign, including a $5 million gift from JBU alumni Bill and Donna Berry and a $1.5 million gift from the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation of Tulsa. The center is expected to open in the fall of 2010.
