Games adults play
Recent research from Harris Interactive finds that 75% of adults primarily use computers to play games, with 28% also using smartphones.
The research from Joe Porus and Milt Ellis, research vice presidents at Harris, also said the interest among adults in peer-to-peer (P2P) gaming is on the rise. They said half of adults are interested in installing computer applications that connect them to shared game servers.
“There is the opportunity to see an increase across the spectrum of gaming platforms, as the appetite for gaming is truly growing,” Porus said in a statement. “The gaming and P2P landscape is shifting and will continue to do so as Netbooks and smartphones evolve.”
This poll was conducted online within the U.S. between Oct. 15 and Oct. 19 among 2,504 adults (aged 18 and over).
