Good news: The Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce is helping bring a Startup Weekend event to the University of Arkansas Global Campus in Rogers. An official announcement was set for Sept. 8, and the event, presented by Rockfish Interactive, will be held Oct. 2-4.

The 54-hour events are held worldwide, from Boston to Bangalore, and are designed to foster business propositions and startup projects. Participants engage in pitching, tweaking, and solidifying business propositions, with the ultimate goal of forming viable projects to be pursued beyond the weekend.
