The First Baptist Church of Rogers is making progress on its new location with Phase I of the project valued at $12.5 million.

CDI Contractors of Little Rock is building the 83,560 SF church on 61.89 acres at 3364 W. Pleasant Grove Road. The church is currently located at 626 W. Olive St.

Advanced Mechanical Contracting Inc. is the mechanical contractor on the project. Dyer Electric Inc. is the electrical contractor.

Hight-Jackson Associates PA is the architect on the project.

The project is being financed by Bank of the West.

St. James Buys Church Property
St. James Missionary Baptist Church at Fayetteville recently purchased a church and neighboring land on North Street in Fayetteville for $1.03 million.

The property was purchased from the Mount Comfort Church of Christ, formerly called the Leverett & North Street Church of Christ.

The Mount Comfort Church of Christ moved to 3249 W. Mount Comfort Rd. in 2007.

Crawford Transforms Space into New Gym
C.R. Crawford Construction of Fayetteville is currently working on a remodel project valued at $470,000 at 612 W. Dickson St. in Fayetteville. The 9,000 SF-space, formerly occupied by a hobby and crafts store, is being remodeled to accommodate Clubhaus Fitness Center.

The building, which will be LEED-certified, is getting a new roof, walls constructed with materials from the old ceiling and a drainage system designed to conserve water.

The project is being financed with a Small Business Administration loan.

Natural Foods Remodels Store
The Ozark Natural Foods store in Fayetteville recently started the second phase of a remodel and expansion project valued at $332,000.

The project includes the removal of the portico and pavilion and the removal of the large concrete platform on the north side of the building.

A vestibule and dining pergola will be added as well as a new front façade of the building.

SSI General Contractors of Fayetteville is the contractor on the project. SL Maher Architectural Group of Brookfield, Wis. is the architect on the project.

Some of the materials being used were manufactured locally, including the insulation, fabricated rock facing and blocks and some concrete product.

The old pavilion and portico structures are being donated to the city of Fayetteville for the new Bryce Davis Dog Park.

Construction is expected to be complete in October or November.
