First National Bank donates to Nature Center
First National Bank of Fort Smith and First National Bank of Rogers implemented a “Going Green” promotion in May and June to encourage customers to receive bank statements and other info electronically rather than through the postal service. The promotion “dramatically reduced the amount of paper required for mailing via the post office,” noted a statement from the Fort Smith-based bank.
To recognize the efforts of bank employees and customers who worked with or participated in the program, the bank donated $1,229 to the Arkansas River Valley Nature Center at Chaffee Crossing.
