Arkansas Movie Set for September Open

Some Arkansas folks will be seen on the big screen in September when “The River Within,” a movie written and directed by native Arkansan Zac Heath, is released in theaters.

The faith-based film was shot in Arkansas with several actors and members of the crew coming from Northwest Arkansas.

Josh Odor, from “The Express,” stars in the film as a recent law school graduate who returns to the small Arkansas town where he grew up to spend the summer studying for the bar exam. He takes on a job as youth director and the plot thickens from there.

“The River Within” will be released in Malco Theaters on Sept. 11. Heath and cinematographer Derrick Sims will be in at the Rogers Pinnacle Hills 12 for opening night.
