Disappointed doughnut lovers near the Crossover area in Fayetteville got good news recently.

While Daylight Donuts went out of business months ago, new offerings were scheduled to be available on July 10 thanks to the folks behind the new White Oak Market. Those people are Steven Lair, Steve Turner and Gary Combs.

The group purchased the entire 5,400-SF building at 1940 N. Crossover — which formerly housed a convenience store and the doughnut shop — on Oct. 31, and have been renovating it since. In addition to all the usual products available at a convenience store, White Oak Market will offer what Lair called “a gourmet market” area that will seat about 50.

Part of the breakfast choices will include products made by Olde Tyme Donuts in Springdale. Lunch selections will include a sizeable salad bar and hot items like chicken and vegetables.

Financing for the project was secured through The Bank of Fayetteville.
