The biggest Arkansas Razorbacks fan Web site is going legit.

Hogville.net, originally a grassroots union of Arkansas fans that has grown to more than 26,000 members, is partnering with KARK-TV and KNWA-TV’s Razorback Nation. The deal, announced on July 16, will provide Hogville.net users exclusive uspdates from the Razorback Nation team of reporters, including video content.

“This is big news for Hogville,” said Lanny Beavers, who owns LRB Sports Media and founded the Web site. “But the biggest reason I’m doing this is for the fans. This is going to give Razorback fans something they’ve never had before.”

The partnership will allow Hogville.net users to access the site from the sites of KARK and KNWA, and interact with Razorback Nation reporters via forums. Razorback Nation reporters also will participate in Hogville Café, a Web-based radio show that airs during the noon hour.

“The clear advantage to this partnership is that Razorback fans are getting information straight from the source here in Fayetteville,” KNWA general manager Mike Vaughn said in a news release. “We have a staff completely dedicated to covering Razorback sports all day long. They don’t miss a beat.

“It makes perfect sense to be part of the largest Razorback fan website around. We’re all very excited about it.”

The partnership began on July 20.
