Wait Still On for New Walton Arena Manager

When the University of Arkansas announced Fred Vorsanger was calling it quits as the manager at Walton Arena, we figured another announcement would soon follow. You know, one revealing the new arena manager.
We’re still waiting.
Strangely, at least to us, the job wasn’t even listed on the UA’s Web site as of press time. Or maybe the UA folks already have made up their minds. Toni Bahn does seem to be a no-brainer of a choice as Vorsanger’s replacement, after all.
Full disclosure: Toni is the wife of Chris Bahn, who works for ArkansasSports360.com, which is under the Arkansas Business Publishing Group umbrella, a sister company to Gray Matters LLC, which publishes the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal.
What really matters is Toni Bahn has served as Vorsanger’s assistant for nearly a decade. Heck, according to her job description on the UA Web site, she serves as the primary on-site contact for the arena and is responsible for scheduling all events and activities in coordination with the athletic department and outside users.
Additionally, Toni Bahn handles the needs of the 47 basketball suite holders, season ticket holders, campus and community usage requests, and provides guided tours for local and regional groups.
Sounds like arena manager material to us.
