Arvest Bank of Fayetteville ranks highest in the Southeast region in the latest J.D. Power & Associates 2009 Retail Banking Satisfaction Study released recently.

The study, based on talking with more than 28,000 banking consumers throughout seven regions, showed Arvest’s customers give it a better rating than any bank in the region. The Southeast region consists of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

Arvest operates more than 220 bank branches in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas.

Based on a 1,000 point scale, Arvest had a score of 815, the highest of any bank in the study. BancorpSouth of Tupelo, Miss., which has branches in Arkansas, ranked fourth on the list with a score of 767. Regions Bank was 10th with a score of 746, the same score that is the southeast region average.

Arvest ranked significantly higher than the regional average in transactions, convenience, fees, account statements and account initiation/product offerings.

“Arvest Bank was founded on the premise that our customers are our first priority and this recognition from them demonstrates that we are keeping that promise,” said Kevin Sabin, president and chief operating officer.
