Beautiful bouquets of roses greeted everyone as they entered the Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House for the 15th Annual Wine and Roses.

Guests at the event enjoyed food, music and auctions. Bidders participated in a silent auction featuring 53 bottles of wine while auctioneer Jim Griffin conducted the Live Wine auction which featured a wine cellar cabinet valued at $5,000.

Artists of the night included Cheryl Buell, pottery; David Gates, oils; Jimmy Leach, landscapes; Cynthia Beller, jewelry and Jane Davidson, streetscapes.

Mike and Diane Shaw, event co-chairs, welcomed the more than 200 guests for the event which benefited the Cancer Support House. The facility and its staff provide cancer patients and their families in western Arkansas and western Oklahoma with programs and services.

In 2000, The Donald W. Reynolds Foundation awarded a grant of $2.7 million for construction of the 22,000 square foot, state-of-the-art support house which serves as a national model for cancer information, education and support. By 2006, the facility increased its active patient base to about 2,300 and continues to provide increased services and programs in a 14-county area in Western Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma.
