Nonprofits Gala Raise Funds For Heart Association

The Northwest Arkansas Heart Society Gala, presented by Northwest Health System on April 4, raised about $200,000 for the American Heart Association.
About 550 tickets at $150 apiece were sold for the event, held at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers. Sponsorships and auction items helped the organization raise the rest of the money used to fight cardiovascular disease and stroke.
Johnelle Hunt was presented the Gregg Ogden Citizen of the Year Award. Pam Jones received the Katherine Chambers Counce Volunteer Legacy Award.
Gracie Lundstrum, Jasmine Jetton and Halsey Brooks were also recognized for outstanding community service.
