Come March 26 at 6:30 pm to Creekmore Park Community Center’s Rose Room as United Way of Fort Smith Area and Women Run Arkansas – Fort Smith Clinic present Kathryn Wishard, Women Run Arkansas – Bryant Clinic Director.

Wishard participated in her first walking/running event in March 2004 as part of a four-person team in the Little Rock Marathon. Since that time she has completed marathons and races, and has lost over 130 pounds.

Wishard has appeared on Discovery Health Channel with her exercise and weight loss story, and was featured in the first issue of Walk magazine. She is also profiled in author Jeff Galloways lastest book, Running and Fat Burning for Women, which was released this year.

The Women Run Arkansas running club, an RRCA organization, was formed in 2000 in response to the need for a statewide women’s running and walking club

The mission of the WRA is to address the special needs of women’s fitness, while promoting health and fitness through running and walking.
