Local advertising award winners announced
The AAF-Fort Smith presented its 2008–2009 ADDY Awards for advertising creative excellence Saturday night at the Town Club of Fort Smith. The event was attended by more than 150 the advertising, media and business executives from the Fort Smith region.
Of the 173 entries received by the AAF-Fort Smith, 17 Gold, 12 Silver and 17 Bronze ADDY Awards were presented. In addition, area students were presented with 6 Gold, 3 Silver and 6 Bronze Student ADDY Awards. Entries were judged based on creativity, originality and creative strategy by three judges from outside AAF District 10.
Top awards went to the “Best of Show” and Special Judge’s winners:
• Williams/Crawford & Associates captured the Electronic Best of Show with “Affordable” for the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.
• Caldwell Marketing & Media garnered Print Best of Show with 2008 “Be Proud” Campaign for Golden Living.
• Student Best of Show went to Josh Harrell with UAFS for “Arial Assault.”
Special Judge’s Awards went to:
• 777 Productions for the Fort Smith Classic’s “Tournament of Champions” video.
• What If Creative for the Fort Smith Department of Sanitation Recycling Education Campaign.
• Caldwell Marketing & Media for Golden Living’s 2008 “Be Proud” Print Campaign.

The AAF-Fort Smith ADDY Awards Competition is sponsored by the AAF-Fort Smith, a member association comprised of advertising, marketing and media professionals.
