Marshall Thomas Saviers, 28
Vice President
Sage Partners, Fayetteville

Claim to Fame: Known as “one of the best” at office tenant representation in Northwest Arkansas.

Next Step: “I want to build a larger client base and be involved with as many impactful organizations as possible-.”

Marshall Saviers loves the variety of his job as a commercial real estate broker.

“Every day is different,” he said. “I’m not sitting at my desk all day, I’m out and about more than I’m in the office.”

Saviers’ primary focus is representing tenants who are looking for office space. He represents clients such as Cisco Systems, Cadbury, Exeter Brands, Exxon Mobil, Cingular and Microsoft.

His colleagues said he’s one of the top tenant representatives in Northwest Arkansas.

“He brings a strong professionalism and work ethic to the company,” said Brian Shaw, a managing partner with Sage. “He’s very good at representing clients, communicating their needs and negotiating leases.”

Saviers graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas in 2002 and worked for Transwestern Commercial Services for a few years before relocating to Northwest Arkansas.

A native of Little Rock, Saviers said he was eager to get back to Arkansas.

He also saw a need for office tenant representation in the area with several suppliers to Wal-Mart Stores Inc. relocating to the area.

He went to work for Irwin and Saviers, where his father, Mark Saviers was a partner. The firm split in 2005 and Sage Partners was formed.

Currently, Saviers is focused on building his client base and learning more about the commercial real estate industry.

“I just became a LEED accredited professional. I’m looking forward to merging that with my commercial real estate knowledge,” he said.

Saviers got his first job at the age of 16, working in the basement of the research institute of the Arkansas Children’s Hospital. He cared for the animals, mostly rats and sheep, which were used in scientific testing.

While Saviers said the job taught him that “not all work is fun,” it also led him to some research for a science class, for which he won the state science fair.

Saviers has volunteered as a big brother for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas since 2005.

He was also a founding member for both the Fayetteville and the Northwest Arkansas young professional groups.
