Forty Under 40: Jill Grimsley Drewyor
Jill Drewyor’s law practice in dealings with commercial lending, real estate, general business and corporate law is booming, but what she really likes to tear into are municipal and public finance projects.
“There are only a handful of lawyers in the state with the experience and expertise to work as bond counsel and Jill is the only one currently located in Northwest Arkansas,” writes Michael Lindsey, vice president with Morgan Keegan Co. “She is a tremendous addition to the municipal finance community.”
She recently served as counsel on three bond issues for Rogers Water Utilities. To that end, Drewyor expanded Mitchell Williams’ offerings when she joined the firm in 2007. A third-generation Bentonville native, she moved home to be near family after being named partner with the Pray Walker firm in Tulsa. She was the youngest ever to hold that title with PW, where she practiced for about six years.
She is a 2001 graduate of the Tulane University Law School and earned her bachelor’s from Texas Christian University in 1998.
Drewyor, 33, serves on the board of the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Museum and is an active member of the Bentonville Rotary Club.
“She is dynamic, purposeful and insightful beyond her years,” wrote Bob Workman, current executive director of Crystal Bridges Museum.
