Legislation filed concerning bingo fees and doctor referrals

Bills filed Thursday (Jan. 15) in the 87th General Assembly include the following:

SB 87
The proposed bill would appropriate $667,968 to fund the Arkansas Ethics Commission.

HB 1111
This proposed bill, filed by Rep. Tracy Pennartz, D-Fort Smith, would reduce fees for organizations operating charitable bingo and raffles.

HB 1108
The bill would seek to prevent doctors from referring patients to medical imaging operations in which the doctor has a financial interest.
