Construction Begins on Fayetteville’s New Court Building (Real Deals)

Kinco Constructors of Little Rock recently purchased a building permit valued at $3.3 million to construct a new district court building for the city of Fayetteville.
The 13,500 SF building will replace the former city jail on the corner of Rock and Church streets.
The former jail will be demolished to make room for the new one-story facility.
Nearly 50 percent of the building’s demolition material will be reused.
The building will include a courtroom and additional office space for clerks and the city prosecutor.
The new court building will increase the city’s district court space from four offices to 12 offices.
Architects Wilson Estes Police of Mission, Kan., have designed the building to achieve LEED certification.
Construction is expected to be completed within 12 months.
NWACC Purchases Additional Space
The NorthWest Arkansas Community College Foundation recently purchased the NARTI and Highlands Oncology facilities in Bentonville for $3.17 million.
The two facilities at 1200 Eagle Way are located adjacent to NWACC’s Student Center and include a total of 15,800 SF.
The NARTI building, which is 6,803 SF, will be used as the administrative and faculty offices for NWACC’s nursing program. The Highlands Oncology building, which is 8,999 SF, will serve as nursing classrooms and labs.
NWACC plans to renovate the buildings, with anticipated renovation costs between $800,000 and $1.5 million.
The Highlands Oncology Group purchased the Northwest Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institutes facilities through their Quark LLC in 2008 for $7.8 million.
Murphy Builds Bentonville Station
Murphy Oil USA Inc. recently purchased a lot for $985,000 from McCyang LLC to operate a Murphy Express in the Twin City Heights development in Bentonville.
The service station will be situated on 1.79 acres at the corner of Southeast Walton Boulevard and SE L Street.
The station will include eight pumps and a 1,200-SF convenience store.
Allens Purchase Beau Chene Home
Matthew and Christine Allen recently purchased a 6,125-SF home in the Beau Chene Farms subdivision of Rogers for $845,000.
The two-story home was purchased from Joe and Dawn Hudack.
The Hudacks purchased the land from developer Beau Chene Farms Inc., owned by Colon and Harriet Washburn, in 2000 for $125,000. The home, built in 2001, features six full bathrooms, a fireplace and a swimming pool. The home sits on 1.24 acres.
The subdivision features a wrought iron and stone-gated entrance with an electronic security system.
Beau Chene also has an equestrian facility for residents with a seven-stall horse barn and a 3-acre paddock and arena.
